Josh Whedon, director of ‘The Avengers’ and creator of cult-shows including ‘Buffy, the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘Firefly’, has made his fans ecstatically happy by finally joining Twitter.
Whedon has assigned himself the username @JossActual, and his description reads, ‘Java man, Isle of Man, Mandroid, Man Who Would Be King Ralph, girly man’.
After positing only two tweets, Whedon had secured almost 20,000 followers.
Whedon’s followers can probably expect tweets that are thought-provoking, lively and fun, given his dry humour and candid thoughts on entertainment, politics and art, among other topics.
Given the incredible success of ‘The Avengers’ last year, it seems that Whedon’s entrance to Twitter is perfectly timed.
Whedon has produced a follow-up series called ‘Agents of SHIELD’ for the ABC. The series will have its debut in September.
Agent Phil Coulson and his group of SHIELD operatives are central to the new series. Together, they attempt to solve cases and encounter the strange and unknown.
