One day trip to Stratford-upon-avon

Vereinigtes Königreich/Stratford-upon-Avon Culture and study trip 2006

Stratford-upon-avon is the birthplace of Shakespeare. It is a little town with many beautiful half-timbered houses.

I have visited Shakespeares' birthplace. It is a typical Enlish middle class house. Its outside is much nicer than its inside though.

Really worth visiting the the Anne Hathaway Cottage. Anne Hathaway was William's wife. The cottage has a beautiful and huge garden. The cottage is a bit out of town, however, it is still possible to walk there.

In the Holy Trinity Church I went to the tomb of Shakesphere. The Church is quite nice, and looks more like a cathedral.

A walk along the riverside of the Avon is also recommendable! You can see there those nice long and narrow canal boats, typical for Britain.
