Vereinigte Staaten/Las Vegas Culture and study trip 2003
From Los Angeles to Las Vegas it was only one hour by plane. Since it was already afternoon as we arrived in Las Vegas there was no time to loose to discover the city. The next day was already set up for the bus ride to the Grand Canyon and at the same time the last day of out entire travel.
First of all we could not believe in which hotel we should stay in. Our hotel was the fairy tale castle Excalibur. It turned out to be the most beautiful hotel room throughout our travel and was located in the heard of Las Vegas.
After we brought all our bags to our room, we directly went to the casino. There were red carpets on which everyone (even underage) were allowed to move along through the entire casino. Henni, one of my friends was older and began to play a bit with the gambling machines and even won a bit of money, which she lost again in the next game.
The rest of us was quickly taken aside by the security team of the casino and bought back to the red carpet. :-(
Suddenly we came up with the idea to rent a limousine and cruise around the city. They were waiting in line for bored tourists to take a ride. It was only 38$ per hour and divided by 4 people no problem. That was so much fun and the driver even had us drink free beer without asking for the ID. ;-)
Next day it was hard to get out of bed, but we were on our way to the Grand Canyon and the plan was to continue sleeping on the bus...
