Introduction
China is huge country filled with many peoples, traditions and landscapes. It is often an intriguing mystery to Western people who are not familiar with its customs, food and general way of life. It is a country that has been around for centuries, but it has managed to progress into the 21st century right along with the rest of the world.
The capital of China is Beijing with a population of about 8.5 million people. The climate of China is very diverse. As a general rule the more northern you go the colder it gets, and the more southern you go the warmer it gets.
